Online Exhibition
By a Correspondent

Samuel started drawing at an early age of 6 years 25 years ago and later after completing his high school education. He studied at Creative Arts Center to polish his drawing and painting.

This led him to work as a Freelance Graphic Designer for adverting agencies for two years. In 1998 he decided to paint fulltime.

He regularly takes part in the workshop and exhibitions organized by the RaMoMA Gallery and the Kuona Trust at the Nairobi National Museum.

Though he depicts rural scenes, Samuel is particularly interested in icons from the urban environment - buildings, matatus (public transport vehicles), adverting boards etc. which form the secret geometry of a painter who insists in figurativeness for the sake of social caricature or political message.
