Katutura Community Arts Centre Now Open
By a Correspondent
The Katutura Community Arts Centre is situated (since February 2002) next to the Youth Centre in Katutura and is easy for all to find, directly by Independence Avenue straight out of Windhoek, Namibia. The solid complex used to be the old Migrant Workers Complex build by the SA administration all those years ago.

It has a huge amount of space which will be utilised fully, with classrooms, studios and exhibition spaces for the various arts and forms (music, dance, drama, arts, media), as well as a resource & library centre, restaurant, theatre, set & decor building, rehearsal rooms, garden, etc.
Currently the Katutura Community Art Centre is hosting the John Muafangejo Art Center, departments of the College of the Arts, Schoolnet [www.schoolnet.na] and Arts Development of Differently Abled People (ADDAP)
