Information & Communication Tech For Development (ICT4D)
By a correspondent

For the third time Hivos, Oneworld Netherlands and IICD present Fill-the-Gap III.

This public even, focused on themes related to the UN summits on the Information Society (WSIS) in Geneva (2003) and Tunis (November 2005).

The conference, held at the museum of Communication inThe Hague , provided provoking statements from interesting guest speakers.

The audience joined the discussion whether the right to information is in fact a human right, and to what extent e-governance indeed contributes to democracy.

At the ‘ICT4D exhibition’ where AfricanColours was presented amongst others, visitors could find a wide variety of activities. Here they could see, hear and experience what the ‘Information Society’ means in practice today.
