According to the jury, chaired by Simao Souindoula the work of Miguel da Franca, who won the prize valued at USD 15 000, "showed a maturity beyond description and points us to a path of unprecedented debate in search of something that we think meet at infinity."

Second place runners up was artist Angelo de Carvalho from the Kwanza Sul, who received USD 7 000 and 500, plus a statue of the premium.

Already in the discipline of sculpture, the jury decided to award no first prize because the eleven works competing for the award had the same attributes.

"To enhance the premium, it is necessary that artists have a certain accuracy and compliance, therefore we decided not to award the prize," says Simao Souindoula.

The jury also awarded honorable mentions in both categories, respectively, and Sonya Luken Luis Antonio Domingos.

In this category there was only one contesting piece.

In the Youth category the award  for painting went to artist Manuel Ventura, while in the Youth Sculpture Prize the  award was given to Amândio Vemba.

The event was attended by ministers of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino, parliamentarians, diplomats and other guests.
