Cape Craft & Design Institute Invitation

The Cape Craft & Design Institute (CCDI) runs a project aimed at developing creative and innovation skills of craft producers and development practitioners in the region in Cape Town, South Africa.

The project has seen 15 craft producers from Botswana, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Lesotho take part in 5 creativity workshops.

There are 3 more workshops taking place as part of the programme as well as 2 exciting opportunities for a residency and internship. All interested participants are invited to email: erica.elk@ccdi.org.za for more information.

CCDI covers all in-SA costs - accommodation, food, training and material costs, as well as trips/site visits in Cape Town and getting to and from the airport.

The first residency will be held from 7 November 2010 – 04 December 2010 and the second from 26 February 2011- 29 March 2011 (to coincide with the Design Indaba Expo).
