The Angolan historian Simão Souindoula travelled on Tuesday to South Africa where on 12-15 January, he will attend an international meeting of art history under the theme “Further Reading of history Art in the Southern Hemisphere”.

The event, which is organised by the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) in collaboration with South Africa Association of Critics and Historian of Visual Arts (SAVAH), International Committee of Arts History (CIHA) and the American Paul Gettyn Foundation, will discuss various issues related to the sector.
Beside the Africans the meeting will also be attended by experts from Germany, Austria, Canada, New Zealand, United States, Britain, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Jamaica, India and France including some States of the southern region of the continent.
