The unique show, which has been put together by two enterprising art enthusiasts, Jyothi Aranha and Kalpa Padia aims to explore the diverse and distinct cultures across the globe through the medium of art.

An effort to promote the appreciation of art across cultures, the show will run from July 28 – August 3rd at the Pratima’s Art Gallery, M G Road, Bangalore.

The two art lovers plan to take their concept to several destinations across the globe, as the fusion art has a gamut of possibilities to explore in the art world.

‘Out of Africa’ brings together young contemporary artists from various corners East Africa on a common platform. The exhibition will feature workd from Anwar Sadat Nakabinge, Christopher Oweycha, David MzugunoDinesh RevankarJoseph Cartoon, Kayirra Owenttebe, Ruth Nyakundi and Wilson Mwangi Kinyua.

During its run in the city, the exhibition hopes to celebrate the different aspects of Indian and African art. African art thrives on its vibrant colours and the use of red in different shades is prominent in the art works, Art from Africa follows a geometrical form and is also about expressing social causes. It plays with vibrant hues of red and black and usually depicts issues faced by women in Africa, along with other economical and social causes.

As Merging Hues puts it, "Out of Africa is a small window open for you to take a peek at the bigger picture."
