The aim of this workshop is to teach participants how to build and use a pinhole camera and how to develop these images into a positive in the darkroom.

The workshop will begin with the basic theories of light, photography and the camera obscura. Participants will then build their own pinhole camera with supplied materials. They will learn how to take a photo with a pinhole camera, as well as how to develop this image in the darkroom, first as a negative and then as a positive.

Each participant should go home with their own black and white, hand-printed photograph.

The workshop is limited to a maximum 15 participants, so in order to be considered please submit:

to info@bagfactoryart.org.za.

If your application is successful you will receive a confirmation from the workshop coordinators. Kindly note that the cost of the workshop is R100
