Feet Installation - A Travel Adventure
By Samuel Olou
Samuel Olou is a Ghanaian artist living and working in Oslo, Norway. His upcoming exhibition is a travel adventure dubbed 'Feet'. The work describes feet as an element of the human body that has a basic role in our lives.
'We walk and vacate into our various activities. Although feet have this fundamental role to play in issues of life, I look at feet as a symbolic element, a metaphor that could be regarded as identification of a human being.

Feet installation | 2010| Terracota
Strong or feeble feet move, migrate across culture, and walk for change or transformation in this jungle world, toward a special goal, says Samuel Olou. In this project, I seek to communicate a universal message, which has no national boundaries'.
I belive this project; feet installation in terracotta, is conveying this philosophical ideolgy of people and place in the global world. Thinking about movement of people, I am also thinking about steps we make in life. Are we always conscious or unconscious about them? Do we walk on people`s liberty and freedom? Do we always make steps of honor and glory? These facets could be the hidden part of this project”.
