Inspiring Alfa Romeo Art Talks at FNB Joburg Art Fair 2011
Press Release

This year's Joburg Art Fair opened its doors with a powerful blaze of new work, and promises a whole host of good quality art - much talior made and never seen before - exclusively made for the JAF. One such event is the Alfa Romeo Art Talks scheduled for the entire Joburg Art Fair weekend.

Craig Westray, General Manager Marketing, Fiat Group Automobiles South Africa says: "As in 2010, Alfa Romeo will once again partner up with the FNb Joburg Art Fair by sponsoring the Art Talks Programme. And, it's a match made in heaven...Alfa Romeo is a brand synonymous with history, culture, design and passion - all attributes that could just as easily be applied to the many diverse and talented South African artists that will be exhibiting at this year's event."

He continues, "Another striking parallel between art and machine is the way both have evolved over time. Local art has finally cast off its constraints and lovingly embraced 21st century innovation and dynamism - ditto the master car builders that are Alfa Romeo. Here's to an inspiring FNB Joburg Art Fair and a positively scintillating Alfa Romeo Art Talks Programme."

This year's Art Talks are not to be missed. The Talks are free to ticket holders and inside the Fair. The schedule can be found here.

The JAF which in it's fourth year has grown in better organisation and ease of access, is pushing for growing numbers and buyers. This year sees more quality work at good prices, and many more younger artists than high priced old Masters.
