"Freedom To Create" In New York

This four week exhibition features work from artists who participated in the 2009 Freedom To Create Prize. Interwoven across a broad of range of artforms, ranging from installation art, painting, music and photography, are stories from courageous artists fighting for social justice and inspiring their peers on the front lines.
Entries featured have been sourced from afar afield from Afghanistan, Bosnia, Rwanda, Georgia, Iran and Colombia. Also highlighted are artistic works from little known, but no less challenging , conflict zones such as Western Sahara and Java. Support the artists and listen to their stories.
