Robin Mbera (1982) -- Sculptures

Artist Profile

Robin Mbera was born on March 14th 1982 in Tabaka Kenya. In the year 2000 he dropt out of school because of unbearable hardship and later he joined a consultant company (depcons) as a design consultant for more ideas and training at the same time.

He started as a craft designer, and later on became a private student of a well know sculptor, Elkana On`gesa who is currently the president of Panafric Visual Arts (PAVA).

Since then, he has gone into full time studio as a sculptor. He believes his artistic nature can be traced to his father and his older brother who is the president of Panafric Visual Arts (PAVA). He partnered with his brother to share and learn more skills of sculpturing at a tender age because of his admiration of the general life of artist.

With his brother’s guide and his interest towards the studies of art he excelled to be the most accurate and the quickest student to catch up with new changes in the field. Robin believes that art will make his voice heard by the world and his patience is a tool for his successes, he says.
