Valentine Magutsa -- Fine Art

Artist Profile

"My work is a bridge between realism and abstraction. I comment on the various aspects of the society; how the people effect or are affected by the conditions they find themselves in. my works are characterized by very rich textures on unique backdrops of Hessian cloth, card or canvas. I use earthly muted colours obtained from a mixed media of gouache, oils, acrylics and pastels. I draw my inspiration from what is inside, and beyond"
