Artist Profile

Vijaya was born in Mumbai, India. It was while living there she achieved diplomas in both Fine Art and Art Education. After traveling to Africa in 1991, she worked as a Fine Arts Lecturer at the Creative Art Center in Nairobi, Kenya.Using striking colours and bold lines, she brings forth deep images of the Maasai way of life. She has participated in many group exhibitions throughout Africa and Europe.
